Urethane Cement Floor Coatings

There are unique applications that require the benefits of Urethane Cement. Typically, the concrete is either shot-blasted or aggressively ground with a diamond grinder to prepare it for this system. Urethane Cement is a high-build system that is designed to withstand harsh environments and abuse. Only experienced installers should attempt to apply urethane cement, as it can be temperamental. Careful planning and coordination is required to properly apply the coating.

Meticulous Prep Work

In order to achieve a perfect commercial floor, we put a great amount of effort into the prep work.
SURFACE PREP: DIAMOND GRINDING
The process starts with a diamond grind or shot blast to mechanically etch the floor. We carefully grind the floor using professional-grade equipment and dust collection.
REPAIRS AS NEEDED
Our experienced team members also fill all the cracks, holes and damages on the floor as needed. We can also remove existing coatings, glue, adhesive and more.
COATING SYSTEM APPLICATION
After the preparation is completed, we will clean the floor and start applying the specified coating system for your project. It could be as simple as a two-coat application or as many as 5 coats of our industrial-grade polyaspartic.

Urethane Cement Flooring | Durable & Chemical-Resistant

Mile High Coatings has experience installing these unique, project-specific coating systems. Urethane cement is a high-build, troweled-down product that is ideal to protect concrete from chemical attack, thermal shock, and has excellent abrasion resistance and compressive strength in the toughest environments. The urethane cement system is applied in a monolithic, seamless application, making it suitable for the food and beverage industry (where it shines!). To prepare the floor, we utilize shot blasters and grinders to make sure the coating system adheres properly to the concrete substrate. Of course, we also employ our industrial dust collectors with multistage HEPA filters to help keep the working environment as dust-free as possible.

Are the epoxy garage floors or patios slippery?
The floors are not slippery when dry. Because of the grit and/or texture of the flakes or quartz, they offer some slip resistance when wet. However, as with any sealed surface, we always recommend using caution whenever water, snow or ice is present.

“I wanted to send a letter recommending the painting services of Mile High Coatings. I contacted Mile High Coatings on February 10th. I wanted to paint the inside of a rental property before the new tenants moved in. Mainly the main living and kitchen areas, which had very high walls and acoustic ceilings. We were on a tight schedule and had to have the inside painted by February 23rd. Of the three options I chose, and the three estimates I received, I chose Mile High Coatings because of the representation of David Nanninga, owner, and because of the value and fairness of the quote.

David and his crew were able to start the job on Monday February 16th, which was a holiday. David estimated the job would take 2 days. David continuously communicated with me on the status of the job. The prep work done prior to spraying the walls and high ceilings was extremely professional. All exposed areas not to be painted were thoroughly covered. They patched a large crack in the high ceilings to the point where you could not tell there ever was a crack there. They painted over some difficult areas of uneven painting from the previous tenant. When the job was finished and I did a walk-through, I was extremely impressed and pleased with the outcome. They were finished by Wednesday, February 18th.

When the new tenants moved in, they were in awe of how nice and bright the interior looked. In fact, we held my Mom’s wedding at the house on February 28th and all guests were impressed.

I would recommend David and his team for any interior or exterior painting job, and would definitely use them for a future project.
