In order to achieve a perfect commercial floor, we put a great amount of effort into the prep work.
SURFACE PREP: DIAMOND GRINDING
The process starts with a diamond grind or shot blast to mechanically etch the floor. We carefully grind the floor using professional-grade equipment and dust collection.
REPAIRS AS NEEDED
Our experienced team members also fill all the cracks, holes and damages on the floor as needed. We can also remove existing coatings, glue, adhesive and more.
COATING SYSTEM APPLICATION
After the preparation is completed, we will clean the floor and start applying the specified coating system for your project. It could be as simple as a two-coat application or as many as 5 coats of our industrial-grade polyaspartic.

For Our Grind and Sealed Concrete Floor Coatings in Denver, Fort Collins & Berthoud, Colorado we use our professional concrete prep equipment, whether it’s to simply prepare the existing concrete floor or to remove an old coating, glue, tile or other type of flooring. We use tile scrapers, diamond-grinders, shot-blasters as needed for the concrete floor prep. Our diamond grinding process is dust-free due to our industrial vacuums with multi-stage HEPA filters. Once the floor is ready for the sealer, we apply with a sprayer, roller or squeegee, depending on the type of sealer used. We can use epoxy, urethane, polyaspartic or acrylic sealers. F.A.Q

I have drywall mud OR carpet glue OR paint on my concrete floor. Do you clean the floor before staining it?
Yes. We either clean it very well prior to applying an acid stain. If we are using the dye (also a stain), we will diamond grind the floor, which cleans and profiles the concrete prior to staining and sealing.
Will you remove my old carpet or tile floor?
Yes! We are happy to remove and dispose of any old or existing flooring you have.
Do you repair cracks in my patio or basement floor?
With stained concrete, many times we leave the cracks alone and chalk it up to "character." However, if it is wide or deep, we can certainly repair it. It's totally up to the customer if they want it filled in or not.
Does the coating smell?
It depends. We have low or no-odor options. These are typically high-solids content coatings or water-based coatings. We also (mostly) use solvent-based coatings that do smell. For basements, we can provide and set up a fan in a window or doorway to help facilitate airflow to help alleviate the smell during the curing and out-gassing process. And, it's a good way to chase off any spiders you may have lurking in the basement!
Do you have samples of the stained concrete?
We provide samples, when possible, on the slab to be stained. This is because every slab is unique with finish, color, etc. Plus, concrete samples would be really heavy and we don't want our salesmen's muscles to get too big.

“I wanted to send a letter recommending the painting services of Mile High Coatings. I contacted Mile High Coatings on February 10th. I wanted to paint the inside of a rental property before the new tenants moved in. Mainly the main living and kitchen areas, which had very high walls and acoustic ceilings. We were on a tight schedule and had to have the inside painted by February 23rd. Of the three options I chose, and the three estimates I received, I chose Mile High Coatings because of the representation of David Nanninga, owner, and because of the value and fairness of the quote.

David and his crew were able to start the job on Monday February 16th, which was a holiday. David estimated the job would take 2 days. David continuously communicated with me on the status of the job. The prep work done prior to spraying the walls and high ceilings was extremely professional. All exposed areas not to be painted were thoroughly covered. They patched a large crack in the high ceilings to the point where you could not tell there ever was a crack there. They painted over some difficult areas of uneven painting from the previous tenant. When the job was finished and I did a walk-through, I was extremely impressed and pleased with the outcome. They were finished by Wednesday, February 18th.

When the new tenants moved in, they were in awe of how nice and bright the interior looked. In fact, we held my Mom’s wedding at the house on February 28th and all guests were impressed.

I would recommend David and his team for any interior or exterior painting job, and would definitely use them for a future project.
