WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE
Joint Filling
Floor Coatings
Most commercial and industrial concrete floors have saw cuts that are installed after the concrete is poured. Mile High Coatings offers different options for filling in the joints. We use a semi-rigid elastomer like polyurea. Depending on the use of the floor, there are different levels of rigidity and hardness in the polyurea joint filling materials that are installed.
Some areas that experience high movement, such as perimeters, column diamonds, and isolation joints, typically require a joint filler with more elongation. This would require a polyurea that is more flexible and softer than others. In the case of a warehouse or industrial use, a harder joint filler polyurea can be used.
One advantage of these joint fillers is that they are Zero VOC and generally odor-free. In most cases, multiple color selections are available as well.

FIND THE RIGHT SEALER
What Works Best for
Clean and Seal Floor Coatings?
Choosing the right joint filling material depends on your floor’s usage and environment. For industrial and commercial floors, polyurea joint fillers are the best option due to their fast curing, flexibility, and durability, making them ideal for high-traffic areas.
- – If your floor endures heavy loads, epoxy joint fillers provide a rigid, crack-resistant seal for added strength.
- – In areas requiring flexibility, such as perimeter and isolation joints, polyurethane sealants offer excellent elongation and movement accommodation.
- – For low-traffic or budget-conscious applications, cementitious fillers can be used, though they may require more frequent maintenance.
Selecting the right joint filler ensures a seamless, durable, and safe flooring solution tailored to your specific needs.
