Mile High Coatings has installed many floor coatings applications for many types of commercial and industrial facilities throughout Colorado and Wyoming. We provide concrete cleaning and sealing, concrete polishing, concrete staining and sealing, performance coatings like urethanes, polyaspartic, and epoxy, and more. We also have the equipment to remove existing flooring if necessary.

Meticulous Prep Work

In order to achieve a perfect commercial floor, we put a great amount of effort into the prep work.
SURFACE PREP: DIAMOND GRINDING
The process starts with a diamond grind or shot blast to mechanically etch the floor. We carefully grind the floor using professional-grade equipment and dust collection.
REPAIRS AS NEEDED
Our experienced team members also fill all the cracks, holes and damages on the floor as needed. We can also remove existing coatings, glue, adhesive and more.
COATING SYSTEM APPLICATION
After the preparation is completed, we will clean the floor and start applying the specified coating system for your project. It could be as simple as a two-coat application or as many as 5 coats of our industrial-grade polyaspartic.

Commercial Floor Coating Options

Compared to other flooring options such as tile, laminate or carpet our performance coatings are affordable, durable and do not require much maintenance.

A stained and sealed concrete surface would not fade or peel when sealed with our high-performance polyaspartic coating. This is a very cost-effective solution and the application is suitable to a wide range of commercial and industrial floors – such as manufacturing facilities, warehouse floors, commercial office spaces, storage floors, retail floors, restaurants, commercial kitchens and more!

Our full polyaspartic systems are a very popular and appropriate option also. These include solid color coatings or coatings with flakes or quartz aggregate.

We offer excellent warranty options. We have installed these in auto mechanic floors, commercial kitchens, churches, offices and more.

Mile High Coatings has received lots of compliments on the commercial and industrial floors we have installed throughout Northern Colorado and Denver over the last 15 years. One of our most popular applications is our “grind and seal” with a clear coating (to mimic the look of polished concrete) or with a solid, opaque coating (like a light gray).

This application has excellent gloss retention, and chemical resistance, and protects the concrete from a variety of potential issues. The coatings we use meet or exceed FDA and USDA standards for food and medical use. Additionally, military applications of our products are common, too.

F.A.Q

I have drywall mud OR carpet glue OR paint on my concrete floor. Do you clean the floor before staining it?
Yes. We either clean it very well prior to applying an acid stain. If we are using the dye (also a stain), we will diamond grind the floor, which cleans and profiles the concrete prior to staining and sealing.
Will you remove my old carpet or tile floor?
Yes! We are happy to remove and dispose of any old or existing flooring you have.
Do you repair cracks in my patio or basement floor?
With stained concrete, many times we leave the cracks alone and chalk it up to "character." However, if it is wide or deep, we can certainly repair it. It's totally up to the customer if they want it filled in or not.
Does the coating smell?
It depends. We have low or no-odor options. These are typically high-solids content coatings or water-based coatings. We also (mostly) use solvent-based coatings that do smell. For basements, we can provide and set up a fan in a window or doorway to help facilitate airflow to help alleviate the smell during the curing and out-gassing process. And, it's a good way to chase off any spiders you may have lurking in the basement!
Do you have samples of the stained concrete?
We provide samples, when possible, on the slab to be stained. This is because every slab is unique with finish, color, etc. Plus, concrete samples would be really heavy and we don't want our salesmen's muscles to get too big.

“I wanted to send a letter recommending the painting services of Mile High Coatings. I contacted Mile High Coatings on February 10th. I wanted to paint the inside of a rental property before the new tenants moved in. Mainly the main living and kitchen areas, which had very high walls and acoustic ceilings. We were on a tight schedule and had to have the inside painted by February 23rd. Of the three options I chose, and the three estimates I received, I chose Mile High Coatings because of the representation of David Nanninga, owner, and because of the value and fairness of the quote.

David and his crew were able to start the job on Monday February 16th, which was a holiday. David estimated the job would take 2 days. David continuously communicated with me on the status of the job. The prep work done prior to spraying the walls and high ceilings was extremely professional. All exposed areas not to be painted were thoroughly covered. They patched a large crack in the high ceilings to the point where you could not tell there ever was a crack there. They painted over some difficult areas of uneven painting from the previous tenant. When the job was finished and I did a walk-through, I was extremely impressed and pleased with the outcome. They were finished by Wednesday, February 18th.

When the new tenants moved in, they were in awe of how nice and bright the interior looked. In fact, we held my Mom’s wedding at the house on February 28th and all guests were impressed.

I would recommend David and his team for any interior or exterior painting job, and would definitely use them for a future project.
